Privacy Policy
themanintheback.com · Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy explains what information this website handles and why. The site is run by The Man In The Back, an independent game studio based in Israel. For anything about privacy you can reach us at TheManInTheBackGames@gmail.com.
No cookies
This website does not set cookies. It keeps two small settings in your browser so the site works the way you left it: whether sound is on, and the graphics quality your device can handle. They never leave your device. Apart from those, nothing is stored on your device unless you start something that needs it, as described below. That is why there is no cookie banner.
What we collect
The site has no accounts, sign-up forms or newsletter, and it does not ask you for personal information.
We measure how the site is used with PostHog, configured not to use cookies or other storage on your device. It records which pages and games you open and what you click, plus technical information such as your browser, device type, approximate country and the site that referred you. It may also record an anonymous replay of how the page was used, such as mouse movement and scrolling. We use this only to understand and improve the site, and we don't sell or share it for advertising. You can read PostHog's privacy policy.
Trailers
Trailers are hosted on YouTube. A trailer loads only when you choose to watch it, and it plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once it plays, YouTube may store information on your device under Google's privacy policy.
Games you play here
When you start a game in your browser on this site, the game may save your progress and settings in your browser's storage on your own device. This is needed for the game to work, stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Other sites
This site links to Steam, YouTube and Kongregate. They have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because our analytics doesn't identify you by name, we may need details such as the date and time of your visit to find it.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
